Grand opening for Ramaleela

It was one of the much talked about movies before  release. Finally, ‘Ramaleela’, in which actor Dileep plays the central role on Friday hit theatres across India .

KOCHI: It was one of the much talked about movies before  release. Finally, ‘Ramaleela’, in which actor Dileep plays the central role on Friday hit theatres across India . The movie, however, showed the hail of adverse publicity surrounding Dileep had not affected cinema and the spectators were able to distinguish ‘reel life’ from ‘real life’. The initial response from theatres show the the movie will be Dileep’s biggest opener in terms of box office collection. On day one, the movie grossed `6.87 lakh from multiplexes alone in Ernakulam from 21 shows.

With an opening day occupancy of 94.05 per cent, the movie also got 10 housefull shows in multiplexes here. (Source: multiplex tracking: www. forumkeralam.com). In single screen theatres like Ernakulam Saritha, where the movie is being screened, there was heavy rush. 
Fans celebrated the movie’s opening with band and percussion and there was  huge applause when the actor was introduced on screen. Directed by debutant Arun Gopi, Ramaleela is produced by Mulakupaadam Films.
