PATHANAMTHITTA: The two-day RSS’ state annual meeting at Adoor here has cautioned the ruling LDF and the chief Opposition UDF against patronising narrow religious ideologies and extremist forces which pose a threat to communal amity and law & order in the state.

The conclave while alerting the public against the evil designs of anti-national forces voiced concern at the rise in the number of Malayalees who newly joined the ranks of the so-called Islamic State (IS) terror outfit.

The participants said the move prompted by sinister and divisive motives is aimed at turning the state into a terror hub. They also expressed anguish over the moves to foment communal strife in Malappuram in the name of the Katra horror in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting assailed the Chief Minister’s reaction to the Malappuram incidents which went against country’s interests.

The Muslim Youth League’s (MYL) demand for partition of the state and pastoral letter of some Church denominations were divisive in nature, it said.

It cautioned against the misinformation campaign aimed at causing the country’s disintegration and undermining national security.
