Couple found dead in mysterious circumstances in Mavelikkara

Eravankara, Mavelikkara, was found dead in his car and his wife Sheeba, 44, was found dead inside their house.

ALAPPUZHA:  A couple from Mavelikkara was found dead in mysterious circumstances on Wednesday. Shobin Philip, 48, Palathinkunnil house, Eravankara, Mavelikkara, was found dead in his car and his wife Sheeba, 44, was found dead inside their house. Mavelikkara police said Sheeba was found dead in their house at Eravankara, by her children with blood stains trailing from the mouth.

At that time Shobin was not in the house. Children informed the police about the death of the mother and that their father was missing. The relatives believed he had gone to Thenkasi, where they were conducting vegetable farming for the past several years. However, when they tried calling him, he did not answer the call. After that, the police traced his mobile phone location and found it was within Mavelikkara town limit. Later, the police found him dead inside his car near the District Hospital. The car was locked from the inside, the police said.

Mavelikkara CI S Sreekumar said, the postmortem of Sheeba was carried out and nothing mysterious was found. The doctors who conducted the autopsy said heart attack may be the reason for the death. 
But the reason for the death of Shobin not yet ascertained. The postmortem will be conducted on Thursday. We suspect he died due to the pain of the death of his wife,” the CI said.
