Kerala: Jishnu Pranoy's mother thanks SFI in emotional letter

The handwritten letter which was read in the state conference of SFI other day, says all about Jishnu's love and affection in SFI.

KOZHIKODE: Expressing gratitude to SFI for its long fight for justice to her dead son, Mahija Ashokan, mother of engineering student Jishnu Pranoy of Pambadi Nehru college, wrote an emotional letter in solidarity with SFI state conference held in Kollam.

The handwritten letter which was read in the state conference of SFI other day, says all about Jishnu's love and affection in SFI. The one page letter which started with touching words 'I am mother of your Jishnu Pranoy. And, now I am your mother also'.

"When I knew the state meet of SFI, my son's dearest organisation will be taking place in Kollam, I decided to write this letter. I am sure, he (Jishnu) will definitely be happy about this letter. Because, he loved our white flag and the red star more than anything else. His study room was decorated with pictures of Che Guevara and slogans of SFI", said in the letter.

Mahija expresses her thank to SFI workers for their endless struggle against commercialisation of education. "When campuses have turned to a centre of assassination, you (SFI) have come forward to take over the torch lighted by my son Jishnu to fight against the social injustice," said Mahija in her letter.

"Ever since, no mother had to say thank to her children for their service. But, here I want to convey my gratitude to Vijin (SFI state secretary) and Jaik (state president) who led the fight for Jinshnu Pronoy", said Mahija.

The letter was concluded with expressing thanks to each SFI worker who fought for justice for Jishnu. The letter appeared on Facebook page of SFI leaders was later went spreading on social media.
