BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh has witnessed unprecedented investments across sectors over the past two and a half years, driven by the state government's industry-friendly policies and regulatory reforms, and this momentum continues to grow, said Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav.
He also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central and state governments have jointly established the Telecom Manufacturing Zone in Gwalior.
Addressing the Investors' Roundtable Conference organised in Mumbai to invite industrialists and investors to the Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone, Yadav said the initiatives launched by the state government have earned the confidence of domestic and international investors, leading to a large number of investment proposals.
He said this growing confidence reflects the state's transparent policies and good governance.
He added that Madhya Pradesh offers some of the country's most affordable electricity, a skilled workforce for industrial development, and wage support for five to ten years for employment-oriented industries.
Describing the first Investors' Roundtable held in New Delhi under the theme 'Make in MP, Faith in MP,' as an "unprecedented success," Yadav added that it had attracted investment proposals worth ₹3,500 crore, with the potential to generate employment for around 14,000 people.
Referring to the success of the Global Investors Summit in Bhopal, Yadav announced that GIS-2027 will also be organised next year.
He noted that all plots in the Electrical Equipment Park at Babai-Mohasa in Narmadapuram district were allotted on the very day of its groundbreaking ceremony.
Similarly, all plots in the PM MITRA Park being developed in Dhar district—the country's largest textile cluster—were allotted immediately after its foundation stone was laid.
The chief minister said that the 170-acre plug-and-play Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone will emerge as the country's first integrated telecom technology ecosystem, bringing together telecom manufacturing, research, design, testing and innovation within a single integrated campus.
Yadav said that the Gwalior Telecom Manufacturing Zone is a landmark project located close to the National Capital Region (NCR). He also acknowledged the contribution of the Scindia royal family to Gwalior's development.
Madhya Pradesh has set new benchmarks by fostering cooperative relations with neighbouring States, he said. The government has entered into river-linking agreements with three States to strengthen water management and has also resolved the nearly 40-year-old water-sharing dispute with Rajasthan through mutual agreement, enabling progress on the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Project.
He added that the state government is working in close coordination with the Centre to accelerate Madhya Pradesh's overall development.
Yadav further noted that Madhya Pradesh's greatest strength lies not only in its geographical location but also in the government's partnership-oriented approach towards investors. He emphasised that the state government not only facilitates the establishment of industries but also supports their long-term growth and expansion. As a result, the State's industrial parks and clusters continue to receive a strong response from investors, while land allotment and project implementation have accelerated significantly.
He urged investors to become partners in Madhya Pradesh's development journey and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat.
