BHUBANESWAR: BJD Corporator Soumendra Ghosh will be the new mayor of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC). He had won from ward 21 in the CMC polls.
This was decided at the meeting of BJD leaders at the Naveen Nivas here today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik presided over the meeting. All the 37 BJD councillors were present when the decision was taken.
Among others, Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei, Panchayati Raj Minister Raghunath Mohanty, Energy Minister Surya Narayan Patro and Women and Child Development Minister Pramila Mallick were present.
