AFTER scripting two successive success stories with Akase ki ranga lagila and Abhimanyu both keeping the box office ringing - Sarthak Music is set to score its hat-trick with Pagala Karicchi Paunjee Tora, their third venture that is releasing today (Friday) across Orissa.

With one of Ollywood’s successful directors Sanjay Nayak, producer Sitaram Agarwal sounds quite confident of the film’s commercial success. “He has not only been prolific but the most successful filmmaker of our times so far. And the team that backs him has many more veterans in the cast and crew,” says Agarwal.

Veteran journalist-turned-lyricist Bijay Malla has scripted the story and dialogues for this film. “It’s a love triangle,” he hints but is reluctant to reveal more of the story. “Let’s not break the rising speculation and curiosity of our audience,” he suggests.

Sanjay Nayak being the director, actress Archita, his most favourite, has been the obvious choice for the lead female character who is torn between two men – her crazy lover and a devout husband. “Archita has been my favourite for her talent and versatility to fit into any type of character,” reasons Sanjay. And adds Archita, “It has been a challenging film for me as I have to essay the transition of a naughty girl into a woman who is married yet trapped in a love triangle.”

Popular actors Sabyasachi and Buddhaditya have been pitted against her in the triangle.

“Sabyasachi’s fans would see him in an entirely different look and character in this movie”, says the director and adds that Bollywood-trained Buddhaditya has offered his best for the unusual role that he essays.

While seasoned actors like Uttam Mohanty, Aparajita, Anita Das and Jayee have been roped in for the cast, popular actor of yesteryears and noted theatre director Ajit Das has returned to the silver screen with this film after a long spell of silence.
