Future Generali India Insurance Company, the Insurance joint venture between Future Group of India and Generali Group of Italy, has always been keen on enhancing its service in India’s rural geography. Future Generali has recently tied up with IFMR Rural Finance, Chennai to offer its Shop Insurance products through their Kshetriya Gramin Financial Services (KGFS) licensees.

This partnership, will aid Future Generali to offer its products through the existing 125 KGFS branches, which are located in the states of Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Odisha. The

Kshetriya Gramin Financial Services (KGFS) are located in deep rural pockets of these states, mainly in locations where no other banking infrastructure is present.

The product will be available at all KGFS branches, across the states of Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Odisha. Shop insurance would cover building and contents against risk of fire and special perils like flood, storm, earthquake etc. Contents of shop are also covered against burglary. In addition to this, a cover for money kept locked is also offered.

Green Day to protect environment

Fire extinguisher manufacturing major Cease Fire and DuPont joined hands to launch Green Day, an initiave towards protecting environment by bringing together professionals from various sectors including architects, consultants, contractors and industry.

The objective was to generate awareness on proper use of fire fighting mechanisms to minimise carbon emissions and poromote greener safer tomorrow.

The companies are organising workshops and conferences in different cities with the first of its kind held in Bengaluru and New Delhi in November.

Odia Bhajan album released

‘Ahe Jagannatha’, a new album of ‘bhajans’ sung by Anup Jalota and Rashmi Mohapatra, was released recently. Produced by Saregama HMV, the album was released by RDC and chief administrator of the Jagannath Temple, Arvind Padhee, at a ‘Bhajan samaroh’ organised by Srikhetra Kala Prakasika at Puri.

The ‘bhajans’ written by Santosh Mohapatra depict the stories of some of the famous devotees like Raja Indradyumna, Bhakta Salabega, Princess Bhanupriya of Rajasthan, Kabi Balarama Das, Shri Chaitanya  Deva,  and the last Devadasi of Puri. Famous music composer Mantosh Mitra has composed music for the album. Drawn from little known stories about Lord Jagannath, the album comprises nine melodious bhajans.
