Apart from this, 150 lucky couples can also win trips from Mahindra Holidays and over 2000 customers can win gift vouchers from TAJ Hotels worth ` 4500 each. The best part about this offer is the higher your value of purchase of studded jewellery, higher are the chances of your winning something. In total 2262 prizes are to be won from this Swiss Escape campaign over a months’ time.

Abhinandan, the glory of friendship

The Inner Wheel District 326 comprising of Odisha, Chattisgarh  and Madhya Pradesh had their District past presidents meet “Abhinandan - The Glory of Friendship” was celebrated at Bhubaneswar on June 1. The event assumes significance because the  past presidents are instrumental in dealing with the affairs of their clubs and hence their rich experiences play a vital role in strengthening the organisation. The chief guest of the function was Inner Wheel Clubs of India National Association president  Sarita Lunani and guest of honour , the incoming district chairman Sapna Jaiswal. 

The Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India is a part of International Inner Wheel (IIW), one of  the largest international women’s voluntary service organisations, spread worldwide in over 103 countries with the objectives to promote true friendship, to encourage ideals of personal service and to foster international understanding.

The challenge ahead for the clubs is to identify the root cause of the atrocities on women and try to resolve the issue at ground level as only awareness will help in bringing about this revolution and  prompt a change in mindset. Many good projects and activities in terms of health camps, service  to senior citizens, vocational training programmes, along with major community projects were undertaken this year by the Inner Wheel Club members.  It also focuses on educating and empowering the girl child. The organisation also works towards making the Earth a better and  greener planet by preserving nature.

Escorts launches Crop Solutions

Escorts Limited, India’s leading tractor manufacturer, signed a  Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Bank of India (SBI) for providing financial assistance to its newly launched agri service infrastructure called ‘Escorts Crop Solutions’. The signing ceremony  was presided over by Ashish Kumar Roy, chief general manager, State Bank of India and Rajan Aggarwal, Head Crop Solutions and Application Marketing, along with A Biswas, head commercial of Escorts Agri Machinery.

This tie -up shall help  boost the farm mechanisation at grassroots level in India.

‘Escorts Crop solution’ (ECS) is an initiative through which Escorts intends to provide “end to end farm machinery” through custom hiring route to small and marginal farmers.The company is establishing  Escorts crop solutions centres both at district and  talukas/ village levels called ECS ‘Main dealer’ and ‘Extension dealer’ respectively. These custom hiring centres would also have provision of sales and service of the machines.

Escort shall assist the State Bank of India (SBI) in identifying the eligible dealers and based on criteria SBI will provide financial assistance to the identified dealers. Simultaneously, the bank will also assist the buyers for buying the equipment.

S Sridhar, CEO, Escorts Agri Machinery said on the occasion, “Conventionally,farm mechanisation  strategies are tractor centric where as our focus is to be “crop centric” and offer complete “end to end”  farm machinery solutions.This is in line with the Government’s thrust on providing sustainable and affordable farm mechanisation solutions to the farming society without disparity. The alliance with SBI aims at addressing these challenges by providing easy and absolute access of machines along with the  required financial assistance”.

Escorts sells around 60,000 tractors every year of which substantial numbers of the tractors are supported by SBI bank credit.
