After all the attempts of Odisha Jana Morcha (OJM) failed to obtain permission from Ganjam administration to hold its public meeting in the city, the OJM has decided to hold it at an open place on Aska road on June 12. Speaking to mediapersons on Monday, vice-president of the OJM Rajendra Singh said the party would go for tie-up with national parties and the matter is under discussion. The party will field its candidates in all the urban bodies in the State, but may not field in all wards.
In Ganjam, the OJM has already enrolled over 20,000 members who are scheduled to attend the meeting at Aska road that would be presided by Pyarimohan Mohapatra.
Apart from OJM activists, another 10,000 are expected to attend the meeting. OJM has appealed to the Orissa High Court about the vindictive action of the Ganjam administration in according permission for the convention and once the HC announces its verdict, it would arrange the convention in Berhampur, said Singh.
