The Employment and Technical Education and Training (ETET) Department  launched e-nijukti on Wednesday, an online service that will provide skill training to the youth of the State.

The rural youth, who are finding it difficult to get employment, will get the maximum benefit from the online service which will be a central facility to bring together all the available training programmes.

The decision for introducing the facility was taken by a High Power Committee (HPC) under the State Employment Mission (SEM) recently. The motive behind launching the service is to bridge the gap between skill and employment and to create a database of the unemployed youth in the State. The number of youth who register for the training programme will be a measure of the unskilled workforce in the State. Around 94 people have already applied for various training programmes in the website. The training will be provided in specialised subjects, besides training will also be provided for driving, electrician and other vocational programmes.
