Around 44 per cent of the total students who appeared for the examination managed to score above 75 per cent. “Seventyfive per cent of the total students have scored above 60 per cent of marks in the examination,” said CBSE regional officer AS Verma.

Many of the CBSE schools in the city have performed spectacularly with a majority of the students managing to score cumulative grade point analysis (CGPA) of 10. This year, the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) have performed better than private schools.

The success rate of all the JNVs taken together is 99.88 per cent and that of the KVs stands at 99.67 per cent. Similarly, the private schools scored 99.45 per cent success.

Verma also added that this year the grades for many of the students were upgraded based on their performance in core scholastic area.

“We usually upgrade the subject grades for the students who perform exceptionally well in extra-curricular activities like athletics or performing arts. This is being done for the past two years to recognise their talents and encourage them,” said Verma.
