DAV student sets record in SAT

Likhit Nayak, a student of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has achieved a record of sorts by securing full marks in the prestigious Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) conducted by the College Board of the United States.

Likhit Nayak, a student of DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has achieved a record of sorts by securing full marks in the prestigious Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) conducted by the College Board of the United States.

A Standard XII student, Nayak secured the aggregate marks of 800 in each of the three papers of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in level 2 of the test.

A spokesperson of the school said the student has been invited by top universities such as Stanford, Harvard and MIT for pursuing higher education and research in fundamental sciences. The SAT was appeared by 20 lakh senior secondary students worldwide.

School Principal Dr KC Satpathy congratulated Nayak for his feat. Last year too, Anshuman Swain, another student of the school, had notched up a similar score.

Satpathy said they have been trying to expose the students to global scenario in education.
