

BHUBANESWAR: A film distributor was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his car near the railway station here on Monday evening. Kulamani Mishra (46), a resident of Kafla Bazaar in Cuttack, was the proprietor of two film distribution companies __ Pramila Films and Archita Films.
Kulamani left home in his car at 3 am on Monday to receive someone at the Biju Patnaik airport here. At around 2.30 pm, when his wife tried to contact him over phone, Kulamani failed to respond.
Kulamani’s brother Ananda rushed to Bhubaneswar and began searching for him at various locations, including the airport.
At around 6 pm, Ananda finally located his brother’s car near the railway station. To his horror, he found Kulamani dead, lying on the rear seat of the car. Police recovered a mobile phone and some cash from his body, which was covered with a shawl.
Superintendent of Police, Railways, Sanjay Kaushal said the reason behind Kulamani’s death can be known only after his autopsy report.
“We are examining the CCTV camera to confirm when Kulamani’s car entered the parking area and also the call detail records of his cellphone,” Kaushal told this paper.
