SALEPUR: Papuni Paikarai (14) of Talasahi village in Daruthenga under Baranga police limits died in an accident on Baranga-Bhubaneswar road at Medical Square on Sunday.
Paikarai was returning home from a market along with a relative on a bike when a milk tanker of Cuttack Milk Producers’ Cooperative Union hit the bike killing him on the spot. Irate locals drained out the milk from the tanker and staged a road blockade demanding compensation. The blockade was withdrawn after the administration provided Rs 10,000.
