Cops Seek Remand of ARSS Chief

BHUBANESWAR: Police Commissionerate has sought custodial remand of ARSS group chairman Subash Agarwal, who is currently under judicial custody for his alleged involvement in firing at Joint General Manager (Jt GM) of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL).

Police on Tuesday moved the court of sub-divisional magistrate, Khurda to take custody of Agarwal who was shifted to Jharpada jail after his bail was rejected on Sunday. The police still remain clueless on the whereabouts of the three miscreants who fired at RVNL Jt GM Ajay Kumar.

Kumar in his complaint had mentioned Agarwal’s name after which police arrested the latter on Sunday.

On the basis of information furnished by Kumar, police have prepared a dozen sketches of the three assailants and around four teams have been formed to nab them.
