BHUBANESWAR: A special public interface of girls, Pragati Sathi leaders and members of mothers’ committee of eight slums was organised on Wednesday at Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) library premises in Bapuji Nagar. More than 60 girls and women participated in the session which was a part of socially smart Bhubaneswar initiative undertaken by Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited and BMC.
Officials of city agencies along with Mahila police station IIC Iman Kalyani Nayak informed the participants about various crimes against women and available legal provisions to safeguard their rights. The officials then suggested the participants to submit their grievances at Bhubaneswar DCP office.ENS
