BHUBANESWAR: Two natives of Belarus, a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, and students of city’s DAV Public School on Sunday participated in the 70th Ekamra Walks Old Town Circuit here.

The students were accompanied by their teachers to participate in the heritage walk. “Our entire team was happy to learn about the facts of the monuments along with the unique temple building style and architecture of the Kalingan era,” said a teacher Aneela Patnaik.

“We enjoyed the day’s tour and Odissi dance recital at Art Vision. We also learnt about the kitchen of Ananta Vasudeva temple and the medicinal plant garden at Ekamra Van on the bank of Bindusagar lake,” Class-V student Swayam Sidh Sahoo said.

Belarus natives Vitali Kalinka and Jane Azarka also joined the Ekamra Walks Old Town Circuit on Sunday. “We are traveling around the world since last one-and-half years. We have traveled about 20 countries and for the first time, we have visited India. We have been in Bhubaneswar since last three days and it is wonderful,” Azarka said.
