No horse riding lessons after Tito’s arrest

KENDRAPARA: The seizure of almost all movable and immovable assets belonging to gangster Sk Usman Ali alias Tito, who was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch, has disappointed a few children here who have been deprived of horse riding training.Sources said Tito had purchased four white horses to provide horse riding training to the children of Dilarapur and Badahat localities within Kendrapara town. A horse riding instructor from Uttar Pradesh, Sk Aslam, was entrusted with the task of imparting horse riding lessons to the children. The trainer was given a monthly salary and free accommodation at Kendrapara by the gangster. But after Tito’s arrest, the trainer has fled from the area.

Around 30 children had been learning the art of horse riding for the last seven months.  “My 12-year-old daughter used to ride a horse instead of bi-cycle everyday in the afternoon. But now she is unhappy as her dream of becoming a horse rider has been shattered”, said Sk Sakil (45). Sources said Tito had brought the four horses for  around `20 lakh.

SP, Crime branch Prasant Bhoi said, “We have seized several valuable immovable and moveable properties belonging to Tito in Kendrapara, Paradip and other places. But we have not seized his horses as the animals were not in the stable during our raid at his house in Kendrapara. We are raiding several places to seize the horses”.
