We all got a glimpse of his singing abilities in Pilata Bigidigala (2016) and 'Ai Ai Ai Ai Yoo' song from Hela Mate Prema Jara (2017). But, that's not an end to his singing expedition. Ollywood actor Sabyasachi Mishra turns singer again in his latest flick, Tokata Fasigala. The film released on July 12. And, this time he croons with Pappu Pom Pom in the song, 'This is Maya re Baya.'

While talking to The City Express, the actor reveals that the producer of the movie, Sitaram Agarwal, wanted him and Pappu Pom to lend their voice to this peppy number. "I was offered to sing the song as my producer wanted me to do so. Not just that, he ensured that the lyrics and the overall composition of the songs are easy so that I and Pappu face no difficulty. The song is so simple that both of us recorded it in a single take," he adds. As Sabya puts it, he has turned into a singer by chance. "I have never received any formal training in music. I am lucky that I have never been asked to sing something very complicated. You may call me lucky that way!" he shares.

The music of the film was released under the banner of Sarthak Music two weeks back. However, the video of Maya re Baya was not released until the movie hit the silver screen. "The viewers were able to watch only the making of the song on youtube. The production team decided to keep a surprise element for the viewers. You will be surprised to know that even Elina (his co-star in the film) was not allowed to see the video of the song," he chuckles.

Meanwhile, the song has gone viral over social media. The making video of the song has over 2 million views on YouTube already. It was uploaded to Youtube on June 20. "People started uploading their version of Maya re Baya on social media. It became popular on the second day itself," he shares.

The song made headlines after a video featuring Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff dancing to its tunes was released on Internet. To this, Sabya says he has received Shroff's video on Whatsapp from Bikram Swain. "Bikram is Shroff's choreographer and gymnastic trainer. He told me how Tiger Shroff was bowled over by the catchy tunes of the song. He dances to the tunes of this song daily, before Bikram's training session begins," he claims.

Maya re Baya is a comic song in which the characters, played by Sabya and Pappu, talk about their perception about women.
