CUTTACK: The annual High School Certificate (HSC), Madhyama and State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examinations-2025 will be conducted from February 21 to March 6 next year, the Board of Secondary Examination (BSE) announced on Thursday.
According to the schedule released by BSE, both regular and ex-regular HSC examinations will be held from 9 am to 11.30 am except mathematics which will end at 11.45 am.
As per the timetable, examinations for first language subjects of Odia, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu and Alternative English will be conducted on February 21. Similarly, examination for second language subjects of English, Hindi and environment and population education will be held on February 24. Students will appear the mathematics paper on February 27.
Examinations for general science paper will be conducted on March 1 and social science on March 3. Tests for third language subjects of Hindi, Odia, Sanskrit and Parsi will be held on March 6. Examinations for TLV (theory) for hearing-impaired candidates and VT (theory) - IT, RT, TH, AG, PL, BW, AH, AM, EH, CN, FP and TC for vocational candidates will be held on the same day from 9 am to 10.30 am.
Except TLV and vocational trade, examinations will be conducted for 100 marks in each subject comprising 50 marks subjective and 50 marks objective (multiple choice) questions. Students will have to answer the multiple choice questions on OMR sheets. For subjective questions, the answer sheet will be attached with the question papers.
The vocational practical examinations will be conducted in schools under the direct supervision of OSEPA between January 27 and February 10.
