BHUBANESWAR: Employees of the School and Mass Education (SME) department who are willing to appear for other government examinations will no longer have to wait for a no objection certification (NOC) or permission from the department.
The department has decided to grant its standing permission and NOC in favour of all teaching and non-teaching employees including those of fully-aided educational institutions working under its administrative control for applying for any job elsewhere or appearing any recruitment examinations conducted by UPSC, OPSC, OSSC and OSSSC. This, the department stated, will save the applicant employees from any delay involved in the process of seeking permission.
SME minister Nityananda Gond on Saturday said the ‘people’s government’ respects the freedom of every government employee in seeking an advancement in his or her career. “Employees have the right to seek better career opportunities for themselves,” he said, while thanking Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi for agreeing to the proposal in this regard.
