

BHUBANESWAR: The office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Odisha, in collaboration with the Home department, organised a ‘Pension Adalat’ for the retired police personnel at OSAP 7th Battalion here on Wednesday.
A total of 68 pensioners/family pensioners from Khurda and Cuttack districts attended the Adalat. Their grievances were examined and addressed during the session. About 16 cases were resolved on the spot and authorised PPO/GPO/GPF related documents were distributed to the beneficiaries, marking a significant step towards efficient service delivery.
During the event, ADG (modernisation) Saumyendra Priyadarsi said the Pension Adalat was held for the first time in the history of the Home department. He appreciated the initiative taken by the office of the Accountant General for the benefit of the pensioners. Deputy AG Swami Shubham Vaijanath lauded the efforts made by the Home department and the police personnel to support the programme.
The initiative reaffirmed the commitment of the office of the Principal Accountant General (A&E), Odisha and the Home department to enhance service delivery, promote transparency and ensure timely redressal of pension-related grievances, officials said.
