Gone are the days when Ayurveda was treated secondary to Allopathy medicine. And now, it has evolved as an integrated and independent stream to treat all kinds of ailments. It is also one of the oldest surviving medical systems in the world. While the Western method approaches diseases mechanically — experimentation and observation, Ayurveda, on the other hand, sees every individual as unique. Ayurveda is all about the intake of natural medicine provided by nature. According to the traditional medicinal practice, each one has a unique constitution and so the health prescription must be unique to us. Western nations too have realised the vitality of Ayurveda practice and it is evident from the recognition and response it receives from them.

To meet up the overwhelming response and the need to make the genuine treatment available to everyone, Arya Vaidya Pharmacy Ltd and PS Hospitals have opened the Shanta Ayurveda Hospital at the heart of the city, T Nagar. With the aim of providing holistic, natural and effective treatment, this hospital is taking guidance of all the advanced diagnostic methods of allopathy and effective natural treatment procedures of Ayurveda. The hospital was recently inaugurated and the chief guests for the occasion were Padmashree PR Krishnakumar, Managing Director of Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Padmashree Leela Samson, Director of  Kalakshetra Foundation and Kiran Rao, Director of KCP Sugars and Industries Corp Ltd. The hospital is headed Dr KT Jayakrishnan, Chief Medical officer, Former Medical Superintendent of Ayurveda College with the support by competent and well trained Ayurveda physicians and therapeutic assistants providing personal care to the patients. The hospital offers all kinds of Ayurvedic Panchakarma treatments including Kerala specialities such as Pizhichil, Navarakizhi, Podikhizi, Dhara, Kashayavasti & oil applications and has evolved special treatment programmes for back-pain, spondylitis, hypertension, obesity, skin disease, insomnia, stress management, arthritis, sinusitis, diabetes, migraine and psychiatric illness. The hospital is located at Northboag road in T Nagar and for more details, visit www.shantaayurvedahospital.com
