NAMAKKAL: With child marriages going on unabated in Namakkal, the administration has lanuched a helpline to inform officials about such marriages, a release issued by the district collector said here on Friday.
The public can contact ‘04286 280222’ and inform about child marriages. The collector instructed the school headmasters and teachers to inform the officials, if they come to know about such marriages. “Care takers of all the marriage halls and temples have to verify that the bride and grooms attained stipulated age for marriage,” it said.
