CHENNAI: DMK ward secretary of Kolathur, Lenin alias Kesavan (46), was arrested on land grab charges on Friday.
According to sources, Lenin was arrested on the basis of a complaint of land grab lodged by Percia Suresh Kumar. In her complaint, Percia alleged that Lenin grabbed a prime piece of property in the particular ward after 120 huts were razed to the ground in a fire in 2005.
Lenin used fake documents to show that the land was sold to one Charles, the complaint alleged.
