TIRUCHY: One of the DMK men on Saturday received a phone call threatening to kill ex-minister K N Nehru, barely two days after the murder of his brother Ramajayam. As the call was received from a mobile phone used by Ramajayam, it is suspected that it could have been made by his killers. When Nehru and his relatives went to the crematorium for conducting the second day ritual during the early hours of Saturday, Pavunraj, a worker in DMK district office at Thillai Nagar, received a call on the land line from a mobile number around 5.25 am.

The caller warned that their next target would be Nehru. He did not give time for Pavunraj to enquire about the caller. It is said that the caller was using Chennai dialect. A complaint was lodged with the City Police Commissioner’s office.
