Chennai student quizzed in Muthoot case

In a shocking development, the police have secured a Chennai student, who is suspected to be the main accused in the 37-kg Muthoot heist case, in Kodaikanal on Monday.

A senior police officer said that many college students were suspected to be involved in the case.

“We have arrested Selvin, who have completed B.Sc Animation in a college at Chennai. During the preliminary inquiry, Selvin confessed that he along with 10 students robbed the valuables from Muthoot outlet ,” police said.

Selvin’s mother was working as a matron in the railway hospital in Madurai. During interrogations, Selvin told the police that he got ideas for robbery by watching Hollywood films, police said.
