Chief Minister N Rangasamy on Tuesday visited Lieutenant Governor Iqbal Singh who was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai following complaints of severe back pain.
The chief minister wished Lieutenant Governor Singh a speedy recovery. The Lieutenant Governor had been suffering from back pain for the last couple of weeks.
He was not attending any functions following his weak physical condition owing to the back pain.
The pain reportedly aggravated despite treatment following which he was shifted to a private hospital in Chennai on Sunday.
Iqbal Singh (67), who hails from Jalandhar, was appointed as the Lieutenant Governor in July, 2009 after the demise of Govind Singh Gurjar on April 6, 2009.
