Ramadoss getting proper care, says Anbumani Kin

Family members of PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss visited him at the Central Prison here on Monday.

Around 10.30 am, relatives of Ramadoss, including his daughters Gandhimathi and Kavitha, daughter-in-law Sowmya Anbumani, grand daughter Sanchitha, his nieces and other grand children, along with Arani MP and former TNCC chief M Krishnasswamy, who is also Anbumani Ramadoss’ father-in-law, and former Union Minister of State R Velu, called on him.  The women members reportedly handed over medicines, clothes and fruits to the PMK leader. After coming out of the prison around 11.30 am, Krishnasswamy said he visited Ramadoss as his relative. He said the prison authorities were taking proper care of him. Ramadoss’s remand was extended till May 16 with two fresh cases filed against him on Saturday.

The Madurai Vilakkuthoon police registered a case against Ramadoss under three IPC sections, including 506 (ii) (Criminal intimidation), for assault on a fan of actor Rajinikanth in 2004, in which Ramadoss was the prime-accused. Madurai Judicial Magistrate (in-charge) Ravi served a PT warrant against Ramadoss. Subsequently, the Vilakkuthoon police arrived at the Central Prison here late on Friday night and detained him. Subsequently, as per the request of Magistrate Ravi, the Tiruchy JM Rajaram went to the prison early on Saturday and remanded Ramadoss to judicial custody till May 16.

The Koodankulam police registered a case against Ramadoss for staging a protest in defiance of police orders on September 3, 2012 and the Valliyoor court served the PT warrant against Ramadoss on Friday.

On Friday, Kancheepuram police registered two more cases against PMK leaders regarding the Chithirai Muzhunilavu Peruvizha meeting organised by the Vanniyar Sangam in 2012 at Mamallapuram, following which police arrived at the Central Prison with a PT warrant against Ramadoss and GK Mani.
