COIMBATORE: While the BJP has been trying to rope in Tamil film superstar Rajinikanth, the actor’s in-law Kasthuri Raja joined the saffron party in the presence of Amit Shah on Thursday. Kasthuri Raja’s son actor Dhanush is married to Rajnikanth’s daughter Aishwarya. Prominent among others who joined the party were former DMK MLA Vedarathinam, PMK functionary Ramasamy, Avinashilingam University founder’s grandson Ramprakash and Venkateswara Educational Institutions founder K Velu.
