CHIDAMBARAM:To showcase activities of the Research and Development (R&D) cell of the Annamalai University, the varsity has begun the practice of bringing out a quarterly newsletter.
The first issue of the R&D Newsletter was released by university administrator Shiv Das Meena on Thursday in the presence of registrar Dr J Vasantha Kumar, director of R&D cell Dr S Nagini, deans and staff. “Of the 49 departments, 17 are supported by DST-FIST and 19 by UGC-SAP. The faculties have collaborated with national and international institutes and various industries. We have two centres of advanced studies and a Thirukkural chair for classical Tamil,” the university said.
