Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday, he said, “Once these branches start functioning, the number of our branches will touch 500 from the present 439 and ATMs from the present 910 to 1,100 by March 2016."

Kamath also said that they are in the process of opening specialised branches for NRIs in Tamil Nadu.

“As part of the Digital India initiative, we have launched two innovative products- fleet card and campus card- on pilot basis. The pre-loaded fleet card is meant for truck drivers. Using this, they can fill fuel at any outlets, while campus card is for the benefit of students, who can pay their tuition fee, hostel and mess fees using this without waiting for money from their parents, Kamath said.
