VELLORE: The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary School Vocational Teachers’ Kazhagam has appealed to the State government to fill all 300 vocational teachers’ posts that have remained vacant since 2007.
S N Janardhanan, State general secretary of the Kazhagam, in a statement said that a memorandum in this regard was handed over to the director of school education M Kannappan and joint director Baskarasethupathi recently by an official delegation.
Janardhanan said that the Kazhagam has urged the State government to take into account of the period of employment by vocational teachers when they worked on a consolidated salary basis for calculating their pension benefits, as per the directions of the High Court.
