TIRUCHY: ‘Allah-hu-Akhbar’ was the unanimous call of over one lakh believers of Islam, who had converged here on Sunday, for ‘Shirk Ozhippu Maanadu’ organised by Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath.

The conference was organised to stress the ‘one-almighty’ ideology and also to clear the superstitions persisting across the country. It began with various cultural events in the morning followed by debates on topics related to the situations existing in Islam.

The focus of the debate was on the concept of Dargah worship; it being against Islam ideology as Quran does not encourage such worships, claimed debaters. Nineteen resolutions were passed on various religious and political aspects, with stress on certain decisions like worship only Allah, do not believe in black-magic, do not believe anyone as the one equal to almighty.

Urging the Centre and the State governments to implement Muslim reservation was also discussed.

The Centre should not twist the history, by fading out the participation of Hyder Ali and Tippu Sultan in the freedom movement.

There were resolutions against discrimination of Dalits and against the central government’s bias in offering benefits during Hindu festivals over Islam festivals.

P Jainulabudeen, founder of TNTJ, PM Althafi, state president, Abdul Rahman, state secretary and Mohammed Yusuf, State general secretary were present.
