Will Continue with My Studies, Says Younger Son of Velusamy

TIRUPUR/COIMBATORE: : Striking a defiant tone after the family received the threat letter , Velusamy’s younger son Vigneshwaran, who is pursuing his undergraduation at the Government Arts College in Udumalaipet, said, “I am not worried about such letters and will continue to pursue my degree.”

With his semester examinations fast approaching, he hoped that the dust would settle by then.

Meanwhile, a 20-year-old college student from Palani surrendered before the Judicial Magistrate court at Nilakottai  in Dindigul on Friday in connection with the suspected honour killing of Shankar.

Sources said Prasanna is a student in a private college at Udumalpet and a relative of Kowsalya.  On his surrender, the Nilakkottai JM court ordered that he be produced before the Udumalaipet court on March 23. He was sent to the Borstal home in Melur.

In Coimbatore, MDMK general secretary Vaiko met Kowsalya at the CMCH. He condemned caste-based parties that create enmities among people to create vote banks and urged them to stop the practice.
