Share rare photos of MGR with us: Tamil Nadu government asks public

Those who have MGR's rare photographs may give it to the photo division of the Information and Public Relations Department in the Secretariat.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu government which is celebrating the birth centenary of former Chief Minister M G Ramachandran today appealed to those who have rare photographs of the late leader to share the images with it.

Those who have MGR's rare photographs may give it to the photo division of the Information and Public Relations Department in the Secretariat here.

Such photographs will be featured in a collection which will be released at the valedictory of the celebrations, the date for which is expected to be announced later.

They may also send it to the director of the I & PR department by post or via email at jdfieldpublicity@gmail.com, an official release here said.

Tamil Nadu government began the birth centenary celebrations of fomer Chief Minister M G Ramachandran on June 30 at Madurai.

The celebrations are being held in various towns of the State and valedictory of centenary is slated to be held in Chennai.

During the valedictory, it has been planned to release a souvenir, a collection of MGR's rare photographs on his political and film journey, a short film, essays and poems.
