CHENNAI: The 18 MLAs supporting TTV Dhinakaran are meeting Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao on Tuesday at 10 a.m,  to express their views regarding the latest developments in the AIADMK.  Meanwhile, V Maitreyan, who played a key role in the faction headed by O Panneerselvam, is also meeting the governor.

P Vetrivel, MLA, who announced this on behalf of the 18 MLAs, declined to reveal the reason behind the meeting. He said it would be inappropriate to reveal the reason behind their meeting.
Answering queries of mediapesons, Thanga Thamizhselvan, MLA, questioned the rationale behind their decision to remove VK Sasikala now because, the same leaders had proposed her name for appointing her as the interim general secretary.  Edappadi K Palaniswami was elected legislature party leader because Sasikala proposed his name. He said when Palaniswami sought trust vote on Feb 18, Panneerselvam and his MLAs boycotted the voting, thus opposing the present government. “Where is the need for joining hands with OPS now?” Thanga Thamizhselvan asked.
