Sasikala coming to city on leave to see ailing husband

CHENNAI: AIADMK (Amma) general secretary VK Sasikala is coming to Chennai on ordinary leave within next couple of days to see her ailing husband M Natarajan. Though there is no clarity about her engagements during her stay here, her return to Chennai after a gap of nearly seven-and-half months will result in some political developments. Meanwhile, a bulletin from Gleneagles Global Health City, Chennai where Natarajan is being treated said his health condition had deteriorated. “His liver function has deteriorated further and he is encephalopathic.

He is still awaiting liver and kidney transplantation. Family of Natarajan is apprised of his critical condition and they understand the seriousness of the illness,” the bulletin added. AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary T T V Dhinakaran told mediapersons that Sasikala had applied for 15 days’ ordinary leave and the prison authorities might take a decision on Tuesday about the duration of her leave. Dhinakaran expressed confidence that Sasikala would definitely get it. Sasikala has been embroiled in controversy after an IPS officer Roopa Moudgil accused jail authorities of arranging all kinds of facilities for her (Sasikala) in Parappana Agrahara prison.
