

CHENNAI: DMK president MK Stalin has urged the party doctors’ wing to conduct medical camps to check the spread of dengue and swine flu, and create awareness on the diseases among the masses. In a statement, he said that 13 persons, including twins of Chennai, have died due to either dengue or swine flu in a week across the State.
This has created a flutter among the public as a large number of people have been admitted to various hospitals in the State. At the same time, government hospitals are not in a state of preparedness. Even medical camps have not been conducted by the State government, he said.
He said the government should check the spread of the diseases and provide proper treatment to the affected. Simultaneously, the party’s doctors wing should conduct medical camps for the benefit of the people.
