UNIDO trains Tamil Nadu officials to help state adopt Industry 4.0

CHENNAI:  To help trigger a change in the manufacturing ecosystem of Tamil Nadu and be part of the fourth industrial revolution, a three-day workshop was conducted by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), for policymakers from the state government.

The three-day workshop, which was held in cooperation with Guidance, the investment promotion agency of the state government, focused on providing an overview of key concepts and terminologies related to Industry 4.0; an overview of policy options and strategies adopted globally, including important policy areas relevant for intervention vis-a-vis digitalisation, in Tamil Nadu.
