

CHENNAI: PMK’s founder S Ramadoss, on Thursday, released the party’s third and fourth list of candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election, naming candidates for 18 Assembly constituencies.
After he inked a poll pact with late AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa’s former aide V K Sasikala, who recently launched her own politicial outfit — the All India Puratchi Thalaivar Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam — Ramadoss has so far named candidates for 32 Assembly seats.
According to the announcement, V S Venkatesh will contest from Anaikattu, P N J Ajayraj from Arcot, Ma Vetrivel from Arakkonam and Vedha Mukundan from Keezhvelur. M Vijayan has been fielded from Sholingur, Karuppan Manickam from Thittakudi and V Kalaimani from Arani. R Janakiraman will contest from Kilpennathur, while C Sureshkumar has been given ticket for Omalur. Sarala Raju, PMK’s women’s wing state secretary, will contest from Uthiramerur.
Meanwhile, Ramadoss also announced the removal of five party functionaries, including Chengalpattu central district secretary K Janarthanam, Kallakurichi West district secretary S V N Babu, Kallakurichi East district secretary P K Jegan, Vellore district organising secretary A M Krishnan, and Puducherry state organiser Ko Ganapathi.
