HYDERABAD: Lauding the services of the police personnel, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said the spirit exhibited the policemen during Suryapet incident and later incidents on Saturday was commendable. The police did not care for their lives in their attempt to nab the anti-social activists, the chief minister said.
Constable Lingaiah and Home Guard Mahesh who died in Suryapet incident and constable Nagaraju who died in the exchange of fire in Motkuru would remain as martyrs in the hearts of people, the chief minister said. People would not forget their sacrifices. Rao assured that the state government would give ex gratia to the family of the deceased persons and support them in the hour of grief. The government would bear the medical expenses of those injured in the shootout, the chief minister said.
Rao condoled the death of policemen and enquired about the health of those recovering in the hospital.
