HYDERABAD: Backward classes minister Jogu Ramanna informed the state Assembly that the TRS government is actively contemplating to have a Backward Classes Sub-Plan on the lines of SC, ST Sub-Plan for empowerment of BCs.
Answering a question in the Assembly on Monday, the minister informed the members that the state government would appoint an expert committee to study all aspects and take a decision.
He said there are 112 BC communities and the government is studying modalities as to which among these should be brought under the plan.
