

SANGAREDDY: The Pamulaparthy reservoir in Wargal mandal will be supplied water from the Pranahita-Chevella project in the next eight months, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced here Sunday.
Rao, who was returning to Hyderabad from his farm house at Erravelli village in Jagdevpur mandal, made a brief stop at Pamulaparthy village and held a gram sabha to know the problems faced by locals.
On Saturday, while the Chief Minister was returning to his farm house after a visit to Gajwel, locals had stopped his convoy at Pamulaparthy and asked him to visit the village.
By then, it was already dark and Rao had told the villagers he will visit them on Sunday.
As assured, Rao visited the village. Sitting at the local panchayat office for nearly 40 minutes, he heard the issues raised by villagers and immediately sanctioned `five crore for taking up various works. Village sarpanch Chandrakala, MPTC member Swapna and TRS leader Satyanarayana raised various issues and sought various works including CC roads for the village, drainage system, a community hall, Kalyanamandapam, bus stand, land for the poor for construction of houses, compound wall for the local ZPP school and 2000 meters pipeline for drinking water purpose among others.
After giving them a patient hearing, Rao directed Gajwel Authority Development Authority (GADA) officer Hanmanth Rao to solve all the problems raised by the villagers.
Later addressing the villagers, he assured drinking water to Pamulaparthy village and all the villages falling in the Gajwel constituency. He said Pamulaparthy reservoir will be filled with Pranahita-Chevella water in eight months.Â
He said plots for the poor will be allotted and asked officials to identify the eligible. He also assured sanctioning of plots, financial aid for the construction of houses for 150 beneficiaries in the first phase and asked the villagers to identify the beneficiaries to avoid any sort of corruption.
After the gram sabha, Rao left for Hyderabad.
