HYDERABAD: The master plan for development of the hill shrine of Yadagairigutta, renamed as Yadadri by the Telangana government and its surroundings is taking a final shape.
Apart from the proposed development plants on the hillock, the tank in Basvapur near Yadagirigutta will be developed into a major reservoir. As an annex to the proposed reservoir, a theme park on the lines of Mysore Brindavan gardens will be developed.
Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao examined the designs of the master plan of Yadagirigutta temple on Monday. The designs were prepared as per the directions of Rao, who gave suggestions to the temple architect and others during his visits to the temple.
At a review on the Yadadri at his camp office here on Monday, the chief minister reiterated that the entire hillock should be have a spiritual atmosphere.
As per the design prepared by the officials, the main temple will be developed on a six-acre land on the hill. The main temple premises includes Mada streets, four Raja Gopurams, way for pedestrians, queue complex, place for annual Brahmostavams and the expansion of Pushkarini.
Rao also inspected the designs for the development of Siva temple, Anjaneya statue and main entrance on the western side of the temple. On the main temple premises, a cooking hall, Addala Mantapam, marriage hall, Yagasala will also come up as per the plans.
“A clear picture emerged on the overall development of Yadagirigutta during Monday’s review meeting,” an official release said.
However, the CM directed the officials to keep intact the main idol of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in a cave. The development works will be taken up around the cave temple as per the Agama sastra. The new structures and development will not in any way be a hindrance to the devotees. Apart from the main hill, the hillocks around the main hill will also be developed.
A marriage hall with a seating capacity of 2,500 will be constructed in the main hall. The tank in Basvapur near Yadagirigutta will be developed into a major reservoir.
