KHAMMAM: Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti President K Chandrasekhara Rao gave a call for the TRS party leaders and workers not to let power get on to their head and stay grounded.
"TRS party has been winning in all the elections as it is the first party to fulfill all the promises made in its manifesto. Thumping victories in GHMC, Warangal bypoll, Khammam and other municipalities show how much faith people have on us. TRS leaders and workers should keep this in mind and let not successive victories and power get onto their head. They should take the responsibility and strive for making all the Government schemes successful," said K Chandrasekhara Rao speaking at the 15th plenary of TRS being held in Khammam on Wednesday.
"People have the habit of giving shocking mandate. They will give us thumping majorities but also can hand out humiliating defeat. Successive victories should not make us relax. We should take every election seriously," stressed KCR on the occasion.
KCR promised of filling up all the nominated and party posts before the end of May on the occasion.
"About 3500 to 4000 posts will be filled up before May. All the committed workers will be rewarded. Those who do not get posts should wait for their turn and work to take Government schemes to the people. Due to reorganisation of constituencies 35 to 40 new MLA posts may also be created," further said KCR.
KCR specifically mentioned about Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Double Bedroom homes, among other schemes during his speech and vowed to fulfill all the promises made by TRS party.
Several resolutions on agriculture, irrigation, welfare schemes, among other subjects are being made at the plenary.
More than 4000 party leaders and workers from all over Telangana are participating in the plenary. While the plenary is being held at a private garden in Khammam outskirts public meeting will be held at Government degree college ground in Khammam.
