K Chandrasekhar Rao woos student leaders with key posts in Telangana govt, party

Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appears to have begun an exercise to pacify student leaders in the state by offering them some key posts either in the government or in the ruling party.

HYDERABAD: Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao appears to have begun an exercise to pacify student leaders in the state by offering them some key posts either in the government or in the ruling party. 
Osmania University students union leader Chirumilla Rakesh Kumar, who hails from Peddpalli, was on Monday appointed  chairman of the TS Technical Services Corporation. Likewise, Kakatiya University student leader K Vasudeva Reddy was nominated chairman of TS Handicapped Persons Development Corporation.


Another OU student leader Gellu Srinivasa Yadav, belonging to Karimnagar district, was named as the president of Telangana Rashtra Vidyarthi Samiti, students’ wing of the ruling TRS. 
The state government on Monday appointed chairpersons to eight state-run corporations, including the road development corporation.

 
Thumukunta Narsa Reddy, former MLA of Gajwel, was appointed as  the chairman of Telangana State Road Development Corporation.


Former MP Gundu Sudha Rani (Warangal district), who had joined the ruling TRS from the TDP, was named as the chairperson of the Women Cooperative Finance Corporation. She has also been appointed as the president of the TRS women’s wing.
TRS leader Mudupu Bhoom Reddy of Medak district was designated as the chairman of TS Housing Corporation.


Gandhi Naik of Warangal district was named chairman of the TS Girijan Cooperative Corporation. Pushkar Rammohan Rao, belonging to Adilabad district, was designated as the chairman of the TS Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation.


Former MLA Prem Singh Rathod, belonging to Goshamahal segment in Hyderabad, was named as the chairman of Moosi Riverfront Development Corporation.The chief minister is learnt to have shortlisted the name of former Medak DCCB president, Election Reddy, who had joined the TRS from the TDP earlier, to head a corporation.
