After Arya-Vysyas, now KCR on Kancha Ilaiah’s radar

Severely criticising the policies of the TRS government, Ilaiah said,”The proposal to construct a Vastu-compliant secretariat building is  absurd.

HYDERABAD: Political thinker Kancha Ilaiah, who has been facing the ire of Arya Vysyas for the past two months for his controversial book written against them, has now shifted his attack on chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, alleging that Rao is leading a luxurious life instead of addressing the problems being faced by the poor.

Disapproving of the CM’s decision to construct a new building for the state secretariat in the capital, the BC activist suggested to Rao to utilise the Rs 500 crore, earmarked for new secretariat building, for the welfare of cotton farmers in the state. “It is improper for the CM to waste public money on his Vastu beliefs at a time when farmers are coming suicide because of agrarian crisis,” he remarked. The social activist wanted to know how the statehood could be achieved for Telangana if there was really a Vastu defect in the present secretariat building. “Many CMs had ruled the erstwhile united state from the same secretariat since 1956. How could CM KCR find Vastu defect in the present secretariat though none of his predecessors had found none?” he asked at a meeting organised by Telangana Mass and Social Organisations Forum (T-MAS) led by balladeer Gadar here on Sunday.

Severely criticising the policies of the TRS government, Ilaiah said,”The proposal to construct a Vastu-compliant secretariat building is  absurd. Instead of wasting money on such things, the government should use the same money for the welfare of people, particularly for the well-being of the cotton farmers. The CM’s newly-built Pragathi Bhavan seems to have Vastu defects. That is why there is a sudden spike in  farmers’ suicides in the state,” he remarked.
