HYDERABAD: Terming the National Green Tribunal’s stay order on Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme as a temporary hurdle, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alleged that Congress leader and former deputy chief minister C Damodara Raja Narasimha was the man behind the case filed in NGT.
Rao demanded that the Congress tender an apology to the farmers for filing case against the Kaleshwaram project. “Play constructive politics. You have failed in identifying the issues,” Rao told the Congress leaders, during a media conference here on Friday.

Reacting to Opposition parties criticism on various issues including purification of land records, formation Rytu Samnvaya Samithis, court cases on irrigation projects and other issues, the Chief Minister said, “The Opposition parties are exhibiting their stupidity. They do not even know what agenda they should carry forward”. “Why the Congress is opposing the purification of land records? Whether they had become deranged?”, Rao asked.

The Congress even opposed giving `8,000 to farmer, why they became so mad?, Rao wondered. “The Opposition’s fear is that they would not get votes once these schemes are successful. They only think of electoral politics. That is why they are envious and talking foolishly”, the Chief Minister said.

KCR defines Dora
Stating that he was not a Dora (feudal lord), Rao explained what was Dora system in Telangana, earlier. “Dora was not a caste it was a cult. Even goldsmiths, Malas and other caste people too were Doras in some villages,” he said. “PCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy’s family comes under Dora category and their house is called Gadi (fort)”, Rao said. “I belong to a microscopic minority caste. The population of my caste people is just 1.1 per cent of the total population”, Rao said. “No one called my house in my native village as Gadi. But, Uttam’s house in his native village and also in Hyderabad is known as Gadis,” Rao said.Rao declared himself that he was not a “Dora”(feudal  lord) and added that PCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy is a real Dora.
